Drawing from Nature at The Idler Academy

I am thrilled to be leading  "Drawing from Nature", a three part course with The Idler Academy at three of London's loveliest gardens.

The natural world has always been a rich provider of inspiration to artists. Drawing from plants, flowers and organic forms in the outdoors is a wonderful way of profoundly engaging with nature and developing your drawings skills. During the summer months in “Drawing from Nature” we step venture outside with our sketchbooks to contemplate and be inspired by nature with our pencils and paintbrushes.

I worked with Salt Design to create this illustrated packaging for Crabtree & Evelyn's new Somerset meadow fragrance.

Running like a girl

It was a very happy coincidence that I was commissioned by Random House to create an illustrated cover for the memoir "Running like a girl" by Alexandra Heminsley just when I was taking running up myself.

Osterie D'Italia

I was commissioned by Germany based publishers Halwag to create an idyllic, illustrated, Tuscan scene for the 2013/2014 edition of their Italian restaurant guide, Osterie D'Italia.

I was commissioned by Chronicle Books to create this Winter Wonderland stencil book. It includes 20 reusable stencils ready for decorating anything festive! 

  

From an old Notebook

Golden Beetle

Here is a painting based on a golden beetle I found on a recent trip to Spain. The painting was also inspired by an 18th Century lace handkerchief.
